Jaraknya juga boleh mengancam Pusat Pelancongan dan Hutan Simpan Pangkor Selatan. Adakah Tanah dan Hutan Simpan ini hanya simpan utk generasi 'mereka-mereka sahaja' yang rakus mengaut keuntungan tanpa memperdulikan bantahan penduduk setempat dan eko-sistem alam serta hidupan marin?!

US telah keluarkan video kejadian ini dlm rancangan 'DESTROY IN SECOND' menggambarkan begitu rakusnya manusia Malaysia hingga sanggup melakukan perlombongan bijih timah di persisiran pantai yang akhirnya membentuk seakan 'broken volcano' akibat dr bencana alam. bagaimana kerajaan negeri ketika itu meluluskan projek tersebut? DOE? Saksikan rakaman video di bawah utk renungan kita semua. Dan pada tahun lepas, gempa bumi gegaran 2.6 skala ritcher di 11 km utara Pangkor.

Anggaran kawasan gegaran 2.6 skala ritcher oleh Otai Kenny yang biasa melayari kawasan-kawasan laut Lumut - Pangkor.

Mild Tremor Detected In Manjung, Perak
By: Ramjit-->KUALA LUMPUR, April 29 (Bernama) -- A mild tremor measuring 2.6 on the Richter scale was detected in Manjung, Perak at 9.35pm today. A Meteorological Department statement said its epicentre was 11km north of Pulau Pangkor. Slight tremors could be felt around the Manjung district but the public need not worry about the situation, the statement added.-- BERNAMA

"Malaysia is well known for its tin mining industry. The Pantai Remis landslide occurred on 21 October 1993, near Pantai Remis in Perak, Malaysia.The landslide took place in an abandoned open cast tin mine close to the coast. Video footage shows the rapid collapse of the working face closest the sea, allowing complete flooding of the mine and forming a new cove measuring approximately 0.5 by 0.5km. Fortunately there was not casualties as the was abandoned. Now the location looks like a broken volcano caldera."

Description : Landslide occur at Seaside Malaysia on 1993 year, this video was taken on the spot at that time. That year, I received a call by the owner of a tin mine (the element tin, not tin as in cans...). He said that his mine, which had been running for a few decades, was about to collapse. I rushed to the scene with my video camera and waited for a few hours. Finally, I took this valuable footage. Although the footage lasted only a few minutes, it is horribly exciting enough. I hope that this video can let you all appreciate the consequence of ruining our environment." 当年，我接到一名锡矿矿主的电话，说他经营几十年的矿场就要土崩堤解，我即刻拿起录影机火速赶到现场，苦等了几个小时，终于，让我拍到珍贵的镜头。虽然只有短短几分钟的录相片短，但足让旁观者心跳一百，希望这套短 片能让各界的朋友反思环境遭破坏的后果。
