HUMAN RIGHTS & ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE: The greatest thing in this world is not so much where we are, but in what direction we are moving.
LUMUT MANJUNG (STORY 3)
LUMUT MANJUNG (STORY 2)

ESCAPE FROM JOM HEBOH TLDM LUMUT '09
Brother Protela belum pernah hadapi trafic sebegini
Mereka tahu kesannya........
ALL ABOUT MANJUNG @ OTAI MANJUNG
Manjung, previously also known as Dinding, is a district in the southwestern part of the state of Perak, Malaysia. It is well-known for Pangkor Island, a major attraction in Perak and the home of the Royal Malaysian Navy (TLDM) Lumut Naval Base and dockyard. Pangkor
Pangkor Island, is one of the most famous and well known islands in Malaysia. It is located approximately 90 km southwest of Ipoh. Pangkor Island is an idyllic and beautiful island resort for a carefree and relaxing holiday. Its natural scenery of green hills and palm-fringed beaches of fine white sand lapped by the warm blue waters of the Straits of Malacca is truly magnificent.
The main tourist drawer to Pangkor Island, therefore, are the enchanting beaches on the western coastline, such as Pantai Puteri Dewi , Pasir Bogak Beach, Teluk Belanga, Teluk Segadas, Teluk Nipah, and Teluk Cempedak. Pangkor Laut Island, a small privately owned island to the southwest of the main island, is the second largest of the nine islands that make up the Pangkor archipelago. Pangkor Laut is renown for its white beaches and crystal clear waters. It has three main beaches, namely Emerald Bay which is ideal for swimming and sunbathing; Coral Beach, a heaven for scuba divers in search of colourful corals and underwater marine life and Royal Bay, for those who prefer sailing and windsurfing. An exclusive luxurious resort named after the island stands on the eastern side of the island. Part of the resort is nestled within the lush hillside while part of it extends over the water.
Beaches
Besides Pangkor Island, there are other beaches in Manjung which are popular among locals and tourists. Teluk Batik Beach is a favourite spot for campers, picnickers, swimmers and sun-lovers alike. Those who prefer privacy would love the tranquil Teluk Rubiah, a beach surrounded by verdant hills and accessible by only a single entrance. Other beaches are Pasir Panjang Beach, the longest beach in Manjung and Teluk Senangin, a beautiful although remote beach just opposite Pangkor.
Other places of interest
Lumut Fishing Village is the departure point from the mainland for those who want to visit Pangkor Island. LUMUT, SYDNEY OF MALAYSIA
By: Ramjit-->
'May Allah Bless Manjung'.
MARINA ISLAND, DUBAI OF MALAYSIA

Planning Structure of Marina island
Marina Island Pangkor took five years of methodical planning and exhaustive feasibility studies ensuring that the project would not be disrupting the environment. The first stage of development includes the construction of the land foundations, which involves sand transfer and rock placement. Currently the construction of infrastructure such as bridges, road and drainage and buildings are in progress. The development of 5 phases will take a period of 10-15 years. Marina Island Pangkor thus is expected to boost tourism economy in Perak.
DESA MANJUNG RAYA, VENICE OF PERAK
Venice? Italy? Is there a connection? And what's the connection? Venice as you know is build in and around canals and river arms. Venice of Perak is build (and still being build!) with the same concept.
The bungalows and villas are all build around arms of the Dinding river and some canals. As can be seen on the photo next, these bungalows are build in a modern style with all the luxuries you can imagine.
One of the great things about Venice of Perak is the diversity of villas. It seems the architects understood that a vision like this, needed also a diversity in villas and bungalows. Not one of the villas look the same. But one thing they all share, they have a large garden all around the house. Most of the villas are stand alone.
When we look inside the villas you will be surprised what it looks like. Some of the houses here are for sale, others for rent or lease. Southgate Real Estate does the property management for you if you decide to lease your house.
Venice of Perak is quite a popular area for expats to live. When you decide to live here you will find many retired foreigners and expats. Reasons to live here are plenty, quiet, nice, comfortable, affordable and still near the sea, western styled restaurants in Lumut. Also Seri Manjung and Sitiawan are nearby to sniff the typical local Malaysian life. A life in both worlds, so to say.
OM: Most of the resident are businessman. If you want to see the latest car model, you can 'surf' in Venice of Perak even Ferrari will cross your car.
